Snap Disc #2 (Fuel Delivery Interrupt) L200°F-40
Snap disc #2 is located on the left side of the appliance behind the access door. There are 2 yellow wires connected to it. This snap disc will interrupt the thermostat circuit (open the circuit) if the metal under the switch rises above 200°F. This safety switch is usually triggered when an overfire condition occurs or if the convection blower is excessively dirty or should fail to operate. Basically, the blower needs to be circulating enough air through the stove to keep the stove from overheating.
The switch is normally closed, when an event happens that opens the circuit, the call for heat is cut, the unit will stop feeding, and the fire will subside. When the temperature falls 40°F below the trigger (160°F) the snap disc automatically resets itself and the appliance will start up again so long as the thermostat is still calling for heat.
