High-Limit Overtemp Switch Snap Switch for IHP, Lennox, Country, Winslow PS40 pellet stove and PI40 pellet insert with manual reset.
This is a safety switch that turns off the pellet feed if an overheating situation occurs. Requires a manual reset of the button on the switch to activate feed again.
The most common trigger of a high limit switch is when the convection blower is not spinning due to a burnt-out blower motor, an obstruction in the blower wheel or if the blower wheel becomes clogged with debris and can not circulate enough air through the stove. Also, if the pellet stove suffered a power surge event, this can sometimes cause the switch to roll-out. If your pellet stove will not feed pellets at start-up always verify that this reset button on the switch is depressed.
