US Stove Company Ceramic Baffle Board. The baffle board is an important part of your unit. This board redirects flue gases inside the stove and increases the temperature of the reburn tubes. When the tubes become “superheated,” they will start to reburn excess smoke and flue gas increasing your stoves efficiency.
The board also protects the top of the stove. If the board is deteriorated or you notice large cracks forming it should be replaced. You should not burn your stove without a functional baffle board in place!
